De Beers is the Premier Sponsor of NorthWords. The company was the first sponsor of NorthWords when the festival began in 2006 and donates about $20,000 in cash and in-kind donations to annually. They sponsor the DeBeers Gala Readings at our annual Festival and in 2012 gave NorthWords a donation of $20,000 to publish Coming Home: Stories from the Northwest Territories, an anthology in which 17 northern writers were published, many of them for the first time.
